There is no minimum gift, and there is no level at which we stop being grateful. Every pound goes to a named line in our budget: the lych-gate, the lime mortar, the rock cakes on a Hedgerow Sunday.

A small standing order

£3 a month keeps the kettle on.

Five small standing orders cover the Hedgerow Sundays budget for the whole year — biscuits, gloves, the sharpening service, and the tea.
