A small charity is only as strong as its neighbours.
The eight organisations on this page are the ones we lean on most. Some are local. Some are national. All are named with their permission.

Three of our partners have kindly let us print a short quote.
“The bequest is the patient, quiet partner the parish always knew it had. We are entirely glad of them.”
— The Rev’d Kathryn Hicken, Vicar of St Luke’s, Burton
“Burton is one of the small Dorset churchyards we like to point to when we are trying to explain what good practice looks like at scale.”
— Andrea Gilpin, Project Officer, Caring for God’s Acre
“The records that Burton has kept since 2015 are exactly the kind of long-run data we wish every parish would keep.”
— Toby Hindson, Ancient Yew Group adviser
If you would like to work with us, please write.
We are a very small charity. We consider partnership enquiries at our quarterly meetings, and your patience is part of the deal. We will reply within three weeks. If your enquiry is urgent, the trustees can be reached on 01202 483 219 during office hours.
We particularly welcome enquiries from: local lettercutters and masons who would like to apply for the Stonemason’s Bursary; botany, lichen and biodiversity groups studying Dorset churchyards; small grant-makers who specialise in heritage stonework; parish trusts elsewhere wanting to compare notes.
